  • Duties and powers – To exercise all the powers and to perform all the duties of the Commissioner in respect of issue of special permits under section 11 of the Abkari Act, for the transport of the liquors made in or issued from the Distilleries, Warehouses, Breweries or Wineries of which they are in-charge concurrently with the Commissioner and subject to the control of the Commissioner.

Duty of Excise Inspector in charge of Excise Enforcement and Anti Narcotic Special Squad and Excise Intelligence and Investigation Bureau

  • Jurisdiction – Within their respective jurisdiction
  • Duties and powers – To be Abkari Officers in relation to the functions assigned to them by virtue of their respective post or designation, for the purpose of sections 31, 32, 34, 35, 38, 39 and 53 of the Abkari Act and to exercise all the powers conferred and to perform the duties assigned on Abkari Officers under the sections aforesaid.

Notification Details:

Age: 19 -36

Qualifications:

    I)Educational Qualifications:

Must possess B.A, B.Sc or B.Com Degree of any recognized University or its equivalent. In the case of Ex-Servicemen, the minimum qualification shall be SSLC.

  2. Must be Physically Fit for strenuous outdoor work and should possess the following minimum physical standards:
For Male Candidates For Female Candidates
(i)   Height – 160 cm Height – 150 cm
(ii) Chest – 81 cm (normal) Chest expansion: 5 cm (minimum)

 

Note:   NCC Certificate holders having ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ categories will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2% , 3% and 5% respectively.

B) Should be Certified to possess the Visual Standards specified below without glasses.

Note: (a) Each eye must have a full field of vision.

(b) Colour Blindness, Squint or any morbid condition of the eyes or lids of either eye shall be a disqualification.

(c) Should be free from apparent physical defects like Knock-knee, Flat Feet, Varicose veins, Bow legs, Deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing etc..

(d) A Medical Certificate in the form given as APPENDIX-I of this notification, in original signed by a Medical Officer not below the Rank of a Civil Surgeon Gr.-II in Government Hospital certifying the Physical Fitness and Visual Standards shall be produced as and when called for by the Commission.

III) Physical Efficiency Test:

In addition to the qualification prescribed above every candidate will be subjected to a Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates should qualify in at least five out of the following eight items of National Physical Efficiency One Star Standards Test with minimum standards noted against each.
